Prior News: It looks like Gov 5, Species 2 splintered with part of this group remaining with the rest of Gov 5 and part of it going their own way (now to be referred to on this site as Gov 11). All of the Gov 5, Species 2 personnel on Earth seceded and are no longer part of Gov 5 (now they are Gov 11). In two months about 70% of the now Gov 11 people will become Gov 5.2 again and 30% will do this willingly. The current remaining Gov 5, Species 2 will be sending forces to all locations that they know are now populated by Gov 11 to bring them back in-line.There are ten locations with Gov 11 personnel but the rest of Gov 5 only knows of six of those locations. It seems that Gov 11 might only be in this solar system but I'm not certain about that information. Right now Gov 11 is trying to make a deal with Gov 3, Tribe A for some serious material compensation in exchange for protection. They expected Gov 1 to weigh in on their side but, so far, that is not happening (look for this in two months and then look for all-out war between Gov 5 and Gov 1 two months later). This whole situation is not going to be pretty. The first big confrontation between Gov 5, Species and Gov 11 will take place in two weeks and the last in six months.
Gov 5 is starting to splinter. G5.2 will secede by/around 9 May 2009. They will be re-named in this site as Government 11 at that time. The most likely future scenario at this point is that G5.1 (both A&B) will rejoin with G5.2 (at that time G11) and G5.3 will join with Gov 7 and has, in fact, already made overtures to Gov 7.

At this time, Gov 1 has negotiated a peace with the current Gov 5 (consisting of the three species for now) in advance of planned hostilities on Gov 5's part. Gov 1 is operating under the impression that Gov 5 is planning to hold to this peace but only Gov 5.2 intends to do so and the remaining two are conspiring to carry-out an attack on Base 18.
